Having spent a number of years working in the home-improvements industry, it soon became clear to me that the real money was in property, not the fixtures and fittings. I continued for a few more years whilst I altered my focus and attention onto educating myself in the many strategies for getting started in property, and building a portfolio for long-term financial security.

Starting with refurbishing un-modernised properties, my partner and I quickly discovered that, whilst often very rewarding in other ways, it was not as financially beneficial as we had hoped, mainly due to the turnaround time from starting the search through to the eventual successful sale. Buy-to-let was the obvious alternative and we thus tried property clubs, forums and specialist companies, mostly unsuccessfully.

We found, for us, auctions to be the most lucrative source of properties whilst at the same time being far more risky than we had anticipated. With a fair amount of purchases behind us we are in an ideal position to offer the benefit of our experiences to our own clients.

In order to successfully complete on the variety of individual transactions we have personally undertaken (including the now regulated sale-and-rent-back (SARB), live auction, telephone bidding, post-auction, deferred payment, joint venture, trading, and registered options) we have been fortunate enough to have built-up a team of professionals, without whom much of what we have achieved would not have been possible.

We have come across many potential problems that we have been fortunate to avoid, due mainly to the guidance from our team of professionals and advisers, and have overcome some of the major hurdles that have been presented courtesy of the credit crunch.

We are passionate about the property business and have made it our full-time occupation which, coupled with our first-hand experience, puts us in the best position to assist our clients with their own transactions.

We aim to provide the benefit of our experience in order to remove some of the myths, misconceptions and mystery surrounding the property business, highlight the potential pitfalls and obstacles, and provide practical guides and resources to make it a safer and more profitable environment for all levels of investor.
